H&S Unlock code
Description
If your tuner is VIN-locked and you’re unable to reset it to stock—whether due to your truck being written off or other circumstances—it can no longer be used as is. With this unlock code, you can restore your tuner to its original factory settings, removing the VIN lock. This makes it possible to use the tuner on a different vehicle without having to replace the entire unit.
NOTE
-
Unlock codes are single-use and cannot be reused. Once you’ve placed your order, do not turn off the device or leave the root code screen. The root code changes every time you access the menu, and your unlock code will no longer work if this happens.
-
VIN unlock codes are Non-Cancellable/Non-Refundable after the order is placed and payment is completed.
-
Resetting your tuner with a VIN unlock returns it to factory defaults. Any previously unlocked features, such as high-sulfur or emissions delete programming on street tuners or in-motion functionality, will revert to their original state. You will need to re-enter the original unlock codes to access these features again.
-
It’s recommended to keep your tuner connected to a computer via USB during this process. If there is a delay in receiving your unlock code, maintaining a constant power supply is essential to prevent changes to your root code, as a mismatch will render the unlock code invalid.
-
Please note: The Mini Maxx V2 is currently not supported.
How get your ROOT Code
- Power on your device. It’s strongly recommended to use a USB power source, such as a laptop or any device with a USB port, instead of connecting it directly to your truck through the OBD-II interface.
- Press the TOP LEFT button to access the main menu.
- Navigate through the options until you find the SHOW SETTINGS sub-menu, then press the corresponding button to select it.
- Hold the BOTTOM LEFT BUTTON until the device beeps, which may take up to 20 seconds. Once it beeps, release the button. A four-digit code will appear at the top of the screen—this is your Root Code.
- Important: The Root Code is not "1111." Look for the next four numbers displayed on the screen.
- Enter your root code in the comment box during checkout
